What is the Microsoft AI Bootcamp for Educators?

The Microsoft Artificial Intelligence (AI) Bootcamp is for educators at higher-education institutions, technical colleges, and other post-secondary institutions. This bootcamp provides institutions with the knowledge and skills to include AI-related training in their courses and programs of study. The AI Bootcamp for Educators trains educators and faculty on how to best deliver the AI-900: Microsoft Azure AI Fundamentals and AI-102: Designing and Implementing a Microsoft Azure AI Solution courses to enhance or develop an AI training program to empower students with the skills needed to succeed in an AI-driven job market. Who can attend the Microsoft AI Bootcamp for Educators?

The AI bootcamps are designed for faculty and educators who provide training to students in Computer Science (CS), Information Technology (IT), AI, and other related programs. They are aimed at those looking to incorporate and build skills in these fields. Educator and faculty attendees learn how to apply the courses to enhance or develop an AI training program to empower students with the tech skills needed to succeed in an AI-driven job market.

What does an AI Bootcamp for Educators session look like?

The Microsoft AI Bootcamp for Educators is a fee-based service provided by Microsoft Training Services Partners (TSP). Microsoft TSPs offer a breadth of training solutions including blended learning, in-person, and online to meet your learning objectives. TSPs around the world have met program requirements. They can teach training content developed by Microsoft and delivered by Microsoft Certified Trainers (MCT). The AI bootcamp sessions are adaptable based on the needs of the academic institution. Tailored training includes in-person, virtual, and hybrid learning. Depending on the TSP, bootcamp sessions can be offered in various time zones and languages. The AI Bootcamp for Educators trains educators and faculty on how to best deliver the AI-900: Microsoft Azure AI Fundamentals and AI-102: Designing and Implementing a Microsoft Azure AI Solution Microsoft Official Courseware to their students. Additionally, there are add-on topics that can be included in the AI bootcamp delivery. The bootcamp is adaptable to the needs of each individual academic institution. Day 1

  • Review of the Microsoft Learn for Educators (MSLE) program, its benefits, resources, content related to AI, and how to join.
  • Best practices for effectively teaching AI-900.

Day 2

  • Best practices for effectively teaching AI-102.
  • Exam prep resources for educators.
  • 2-4 days: Instructor Led Training (ILT) of AI-900 and/or AI-102 courses for certification exam preparation.
  • ½ day: Integrating AI-900 and AI-102 into an AI curriculum consultation.
  • ½ day: Identifying bridging content for moving from AI-900 AI Fundamentals to AI-102 Designing and Implementing Azure AI Solutions
  • 2hrs: Primer on how students can highlight their AI skills in the job market.
